Governance framework (IRM)

The leadership, roles, rules, and oversight that make recordkeeping happen consistently rather than by goodwill. Required under standard 16/S1, and experienced by most staff as required systems, templates, and "save it here" rules.

In practice

A governance framework is what makes recordkeeping consistent rather than dependent on goodwill: strategy and policy, assigned responsibilities, resourcing, monitoring, training, and accountability. Most staff experience it as the required systems, templates, and 'save it here' rules.
